Just curious about my own wireless security, and what better way to test it than by trying to connect to an open SSID 20 miles away from my home (which has a line of sight over the city of San Jose).
When I scan with my spare NanoBridge M2 radio, I see many SSIDs but I can't connect to any of them (only the open ones I'm talking about).
Probably I just don't know what I'm doing, so, is there a good reference you'd recommend for wardriving?
Note: I'm stationary, but, the task would be the same as war driving, right?
