"b" Router with "g" wireless card

In general are should there be any difficulties with using 802.11g NIC with 802.11b router?

Generally, no. I think most public hotspots are "b" routers.

I did have a problem with a "b Turbo" card and a G router. I think the problem was a pre-release spec of one vendor's "Turbo" colliding with the PBCC code in a different vendor's newer "g" router.

I suppose that could happen in reverse, if you had an older "turbo" router.
