Only get half my speed

Please log in for more thread options Im on 4mb broadband, when I use my wireless I only get half the speed. My router is in the same room as my laptop. Its a Netgear WGR614v6 Is there anything I can do to get a better speed. thanks G | |||||||||||||||||||

Half the speed, compared to what? Do you have a wired PC connected via the same router? Can you connect your laptop via wire to the same router? What speed are you getting, and how are you measuring it? My Netgear WGR614v4 and Laptop WG511 are capable of 1MBpS on my cable modem. > My router is in the same room as my laptop.
