Please log in for more thread options Hi, We just got our wireless home network set up & the only problem is that although the laptop will find the network and connects to most pages well, if we try to find anything with "google" in the URL it will not connect to any link at all. If connected by wire to the network, it all works fine (& so do the 2 PCs) - its just the wireless access that has a hole in it somewhere. Any suggestions please for what might be wrong or needs resetting? Anyone else had this problem? Its really awful as we use Google for everything - its like having your arm cut off! Many thanks, Gill

Please log in for more thread options I know with a router, either wired or wireless, the firmware can be sick out of the box. Situation such as you're having can happen if the firmware is sick, where a machine cannot access some sites. The solution that usually fixes this problem is to flash/install tthe current or later version of the firmware to the router, if you have a router.

Make sure this function is off. It's possible that by some freak thing that it got turned on. Other than that do a hardware reset on the router (there is a small reset button on the back). Cheers!
