Wireless Networking Boingo-like program for Linux?

I'm a newbie to Linux. I've looked at Knoppix (both regular and STD)

and Phlak.



Is there no program in Linux to easily select a wireless network to

connect to (like Boingo for Windows)? I know how to do it using the

network tools but that is ridiculously difficult and slow.

ISTR kismet does this.
Otherwise do a websearch for "netstumbler linux"
