We have shipped to a client a preconfigured Nortel Contivity 1010 VPN appliance to build a tunnel with our Cisco 3030 VPN concentrator. The client does not have a public network - all internet access is through a Zyxel cable modem. We disabled the 1010's public interface but configured the private interface with an IP on the local LAN. The tunnel comes up fine, but we cannot ping across it unless the client pings us first. Ideas?
