VoIP APIs/Frameworks for Java

Hello!

I'm going to write a VoIP application where people shall talk to eachother over a LAN. Preferrably I would like to use Java for this, and set out to try JMF which have both the necessary grabbing of microphone as voice source + transfer via RTP.

However, the framework seem to suffer from a 1-2 second delay between transmitter and receiver, making it no good to use in a VoIP context.

Do anyone know of any good alternative to JMF in Java? If it's not possible to do it using Java, do you know of any good alternative in C++/C?

Any help is much appreciated.

Best regards, Helge Fredriksen
