Many features and capabilities have been added to the v5.12 product as the result of great customer feedback and suggestions. Thank again to everyone who have made excellent product suggestions and provided real world product feedback! Also, thanks to all trial users for their feedback.

Of primary importance is the improved interoperability with other SIP software and devices. Instantly interoperate with other SIP devices from vendors like Cisco, Avaya, Swissvoice, Grandstream, Polycom, Snom, Sipura, IPTEL.org (SIP Express Router), Digium (Asterisk PBX) and many, many others.

Other cool capabilities that have been added are:

Real time in-band Belcore DTMF generation and detection.

Call recording from any phone line (full duplex).

Sip log server included to make development easier. Now just view the SIP protocol messages as they are received and transmitted by the Media Engine in real time.

New event log server included. This allows you to see what events are sent to your application software as they occur. Greatly lowers the learning curve to VOIP developers new to the VOIP Media Engine.

Supplied sample applications (with C++ source code) can now be configured via their GUIs. Makes checking out the VOIP capabilities quicker and easier. All examples have been updated and improved. Binary release images of examples are also supplied so you don't even have to fire up your compiler. Also note that the soft phone examples now include call recording.

Trial licenses having 6 lines are now available that will allow up to 5 instances of the VOIP Media Engine to run on any host. Makes trial evaluation easier.

Registrations now support registering individual phone lines in addition to registering once. Great for IVR VOIP applications.

Ignore incoming calls.

... and many other improvements and enhancements that your next VOIP development project can take advantage of immediately!
