VOIP Services like Vonage... Korey Smith 11-26-06

I am trying to decide on a VOIP service that will work in my area
(Northwest Arkansas area code 479) that is reasonably priced. I was
also wanting a service that allows faxing, but from what I have been
reading, there is an issue with the ability to fax using VOIP services
like Vonage. Other than Vonage, what do those of you in this group,
think about the following providers:

https://www.myphonecompany.com/

http://www.cox.com/gocox/telephone/default.asp (This works in my
area according to what my cable company (Cox Communications) told me)

http://viatalk.com/

As far as the faxing is concerned, hoewver, I have noticed some
providers that offer packages with the ability to fax. Or, in the
case of Cox Communications, when I spoke with them over the phone,
they said I should have no problem faxing.

This is all new to me, so please forgive the newbie-type questions.
I'm just trying to think of ways of saving money on my landline.

Speaking only for myself, I have used SunRocket for almost two years
now. Except for the occasional burp that all VOIP services have from
time to time, I am quite pleased. I am able to send faxes with no
problems and I use a software program from my desktop.

Keep your eye open and shortly you will probable see the special
again...2 years for $199.00. You do the math. Except for an added
minimal Universal Service Fee...you get virtually every feature you
might ever need...included.

I'm not selling anything...only replying to your question..

Good Luck....

Thank you for your response. When you say "occasional burp", how
often is occasional? Also, is your only phone line that you have your
VOIP line?

It is my only line. I cancelled my land line last year.

There are features to forward or ring simultaneously to another line or
cell phone.

The beauty of this is that you can try it "FREE" for 30 days to see if
you like it..

I'm not selling anything, so there isn't much more that I can say.

Works well for me....
