Please log in for more thread options Does anyone know if there is a way to have 2 Lucent Partner phones ring on the same extension? At my church, we have 2 room used for music, one an office and one a practice room. We would like the same extension to ring in both rooms, which are separated by about 25' of hallway. I know you can't "just parallel" them, but was wondering if there was some configuration thing that could accomplish this. Thanx.

Please log in for more thread options Put both extensions in a "calling group", and then have others call the group instead of the individual extensions. In system programming, #502-2-XX-1 for both extensions, then call "extension" 72 on the intercom. -- Posted with Ink Spot (for PocketPC) from DejaVu Software, Inc. Also, you could parallel a standard "single line phone" with one of the electronic phones. I'm pretty sure it will ring at the same time. You will have to reprogram that extension so it defaults to using the intercom when you pick up the handset, other wise the single line phone will not be able to use the intercom (it would go right to an outside line like the system phone does). If you do that, the slt can intercom other extensions, or dial 9 for an outside line. good luck Charles

Can you really parallel a standard POTS telefphone set with the electronic set? Which wires do you use? BTW, I was an engineer in mechanical and electronic switch design for over 30 years, but know little about the workings of the Partner system. Do you know of a document describing the workings of this system? Thanks. Charles P. wrote: >

It will work as a stand alone analog extension, and it will work if the electronic key phone is also plugged in at the same time. You could use a regular modular splitter or fiddle with some wiring to give it it's own jack. Charles > Charles P. wrote:
