You wouldn't want someone to walk into your office in yout absence and get your personal voice mail messages, would you? For someone that insists on this, loop a spare extension to a spare line. Remove all line assignments from the extension, and assign the line to your phone, being sure to reprogram the Auto Line Select to NOT grab that line for outbound calls. Then program a speed dial button as 777-Pause(Hold button)-((extension number)-#-(password)-#-2-0. When you want to check messages, press the "line" that takes you to the extension's intercom dial tone, then press the speed dial button that calls voice mail, pauses for it to answer, dials your extension number and # then your password and #, then 2 for new messages and 0 to play the content of the 1st new message. >Send e-mail to robgreenbaum@gmail.com

Tommy, Thanks for your response....we have a VERY small office....no issues with sharing VM messages. I DO understand the "program a speed dial...." in your response....but... FYI....We have an ACS 6.0 processor 3x8 system.....and three incoming phone lines. I don't 'get' the: "loop a spare extension to a spare line. Remove all line assignments from the extension, and assign the line to your phone, being sure to reprogram the Auto Line Select to NOT grab that line for outbound calls." Can you step by step me through the process? Thanks Rob | |||||||||||||
