I'm guessing that Oracle's mediation solution, "Oracle Communications
Network Mediation", was bought by them rather than being created by
them. Does anyone know whose product it was originally? Or did Oracle
write their own? Is anyone using it?

It appears to be MetaSolv's mediation product. They bought the company
in 2006.
