I found this ad dated June, 1952 from an electronics magazine that shows that the Los Angeles area for some reason had 6-digit phone numbers even tho other cities in the U.S. had seven digits. Interesting. http://users.arczip.com/rmcgarra2/2517ad2.gif I had asked about this a few months ago here, after I discovered some old phone numbers on some old wooden clothes hangers. So apparently the clothes hangers date from the early fifties. Why the L.A. area had only 8 digits is beyond me. -- @@F@r@o@m@@O@r@a@n@g@e@@C@o@u@n@t@y@,@@C@a@l@,@@w@h@e@r@e@@ ###Got a Question about ELECTRONICS?
