Verizon Strike Update: Day 22, Bargaining Impasse, 'Day Of Action' Planned

May 4, 2016 - Almost a week has passed since Verizon made its "final offer" to almost 40,000 striking workers and members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the Communications Workers of America (CWA).
While company and union representatives have conducted recent bar- gaining meetings, no significant action has resulted, according to their reports.
