This all happened for the first time *last* year. Anything that had daylight saving (no s thank you very much) time offsets preset in the device's firmware you're out of luck for the automatic change unless you're able to update the device's firmware. Many times it's not. Congress in their infinite wisdom decided to start standard time at a different time than pretty much everyone else. This is the second time that our government has messed with start and end times for daylight saving time save for the year or so that the government decided to keep DST on a year-round basis.
The energy you might save in the late afternoon is negated by the extra energy you need to use in the morning since it's still dark when most people have to start getting ready for work or for school.
