Sounds like a good witness when you get prosecuted for destruction of private property, MPs wouldn't want to tarnish their reputation by committing perjury.

As for the devices, they're not illegal to own, only to operate (And then, they're only illegal without a license, or only if they operate outside the licensed bands)

Oh, and having an MP is smart too, since they have no authority over civilians. You might as well bring FEMA and the CDC with you.
