The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that paying for parking by smartphone is coming back to Philadelphia. The parking app meterUP relaunched Monday, and the Philadelphia Parking Authority will be posting signs on streets where the app is usable in the coming weeks, the agency reported in a news release. The areas of the city covered by meterUP will continue to expand over the next four months, with the goal of making the app usable with all metered spots in the city by March 30, a spokesman said Monday.
