Internet outage causes delays at KCI, affects 911 service in central Missouri [telecom]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - An Internet outage caused problems for travelers at Kansas City International Airport.

CenturyLink said a construction crew cut a fiber line, creating delays for people checking in for their flights.

"On Oct. 28, some customers in Kansas and Missouri experienced a disruption in services due to a fiber cut that was caused by a construction crew. All services have been restored," CenturyLink said in a statement.
