THE FEDERAL Communications Commission has announced an investigation into a communications outage that has disrupted 911 service across the country, it announced Friday.
Outages at Louisiana-based telecommunications giant CenturyLink began on Thursday and are still not resolved in some areas. The company tweeted Friday that it was working on restoring service and was aware the outages had impacted emergency calls.
