Concerns over deteriorating service from a widely used cellular provider in the area prompted Eufaula Mayor Jack Tibbs to meet with key personnel from Verizon last week to figure out what can be done to restore good service to the affected areas.
City officials, along with some of the area's IT people, and the mayor met with Verizon management personnel for the state and district concerning the signal strength that has deteriorated over the last several months, creating service issues for the area.
