AT&T wireless service was fully restored Friday morning to customers in Ascension Parish who lost it Thursday afternoon after a fiber cable was accidentally cut, a company spokesman said.
"Our technicians worked through the night to resolve the issue, and service is currently running normally," Lance Skelly, AT&T spokesman, said in an email 7:02 a.m. Friday.
A third party was clearing heavy brush Thursday and cut the line between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Skelly said.
