AT&T lets 82-year-old woman stop paying for phone she no longer has [telecom]

A stint in the hospital is bad, and losing your phone or having it stolen from you while there probably doesn't help the healing process.

Getting billed for the phone for several months after its disappearance was enough to put 82-year-old Emerita Phillips "in tears."
