The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) decided to extend the holding of a 56 MHz package of national coverage in favor of AT&T within the band of 7 Gigahertz (GHz) for twenty years , counted as of January 26, 2020 and provided that this operator accepts, in the remainder of 2019, the general conditions and the amount of the compensation established by the regulator to ratify these spectrum concessions.

The decision was taken unanimously from the IFT plenary on August 21, in accordance with file P / IFT / 210819/407, so AT&T has already received notification of this resolution. If the conditions are accepted, the new concession titles will be registered in the IFT public registry of concessions, they could be known in early 2020 and the amounts paid by AT&T for these endorsements will also be a reference for future spectrum concession renewals or future awards via Bidding process in the so-called high or millimeter bands.
