This might be slightly OT, but does anyone know what Samsung does to determine whether it's one of their own OEM batteries that's being used in their VPHMX10 camcorder - rather than a chinses-sourced lookalike? When the non-OEM battery is installed, the camcorder brings-up the message. "Check the authenticity of this battery". The battery is a three-terminal device - for a simgle 7.4V rail, so I guess there may be something very simple going on re the third terminal, but I don't know how the 'intelligence' is gained :-/
HYCH,
Cheers,
Pete.
