Using Fluke 87V as Battery tester?

I have the ELK Battery tester for testing Panel Batteries. It says that it is a Conductance tester and measures in MHOs/Siemens. Now the Fluke 87V has a Conductance tester built in to it. So would that not be the same and I could just use a 87V for testing panel batteries?

Try it with something small first, like a computer button cell. I thought MHO was done the same as ohm using just the two leads of a resistor. Be carfull .. don't let the smoke out of the meter
