This is an Ademco Vista 20P. When I arm the system in Away mode, the siren shrieks once. How can I turn this off?? I tried setting *37 to zero, but it still does it.

37 is the audible exit warning...beep on keypads
38 is the siren chirp confirmation of arming and I believe the transmission of the closing signal being sent.
turn off 38

what worked for me was to enter master code plus 1 plus 1

this worked for me to clear shriek master code plus 1 plus 1 shriek should be off

Master code 1 disarms nothing more, the extra 1 does nothing, Crash has it right ts *38 to disable that feature
