Two IR units or one IR and one PIR/microwave unit, wont give you any problems. But, depending upon the mfg, two of any kind of microwave units within range of one another can cause false alarms.

That used to be an option here also .... but I don't recall seeing it mentioned in any literature of the products that I use. All I've seen of late, are warnings to not use two units within range of one another.
In the UK we can get PIR/Microwave sensors with a choice of different Micro frequencies.
Might be worth contacting manufacturers just to see what they can offer.
