The Pelco DVRs have the ability to add an adaptor for upto 16 analog channels. I have not used one, but I did spec one on a bid a while back. Their per camera IP license is pretty steep though. The customer wanted a large scalability in one unit, and the Pelco was the only one I found that hit the mark.
Yea, I was hoping to not have to deal with IP License issues. I thought there were some out there that you may have to pay a little more for the unit but there was no issue with a license.

I've never used one but Speco has a couple hybrid units.

Speco!! Maybe that is the name I was trying to remember.
I will check it out. Thanks,

You could look at a Geovision hybrid, there is no license fee if you use Geovision cameras.

Thanks, I will look at that as well.

I have used the Xvse series from Toshiba. They do a good job and no licenses to deal with. You can add more though if needed.
