Just curious, what does a TG-1 do that a TG-4 doesn't?

My understanding is that a TG-1 is just a TG-4 without the telephone line monitor. js
TG-1 is primary only, take a TG-4 and remove the phone line and you have a slightly more expensive TG-1
Ah, now that makes more sense.
Exactly my point. From what I was told by the Tellular guy, the TG-4 can be set-up as back-up or primary. I was wondering why someone would want to trade a TG-4 for an inferior TG-1. The TG-1 is also not listed for any commercial application from what I understand.
Because the CS wants to charge more for the TG-4. (Tried to explain that it could be used as primary only the same as TG-1, but no go, they want to charge $6/mo more and $.50/call!!)

That's my understanding also... The TG-1 accounts are charged a flat monthly rate that's lower than the rest of the Digital line... Talk to your Telular rep., he/she will send you a price sheet......
Regards, Russ
THAT is a good thing to know. I would have never bought a TG-1 otherwise.
Bob,
Send me your e-mail and I'll send you the TG-1 rate info........ Russ
I got them Russ. Jack forwarded it too me already.
FYI:
alarm (underscore) wizard (at) hotmail (dot) com is the one address I have had without changes for a very very long time.
Actually you'll need a TG-7 for commercial fire.

I know. The TG-1 isn't listed for commercial ANYTHING. The TG-4 is listed for commercial BA.
