This is a few years old. There may be a few revisions. Also, note that few if any panels implement the entire code due and some manufacturers (DSC, for example) allow the installer to create custom signals.

I know the FBII XL-4 allowed you to customize the codes. It was a pain too.

All later FBI panels would let you do that

It would be far better if they stuck to the standard or at least left the option to auto-select standard codes by setting a single data point.

Anyone know about the Napco 1632 Panel ?

I'm using contact ID but there are a few code in the misc section that aren't filled in. Do I need to or are they built in. Also when I try to enter a code it tell me only 1 digit is allowed ?

The P1632 uses all the standard default codes in CID reporting mode.

When usinf Contact ID the Napco panel automatically sets all of the misc codes for you. You only need to program which items will report and to which receiver they will be sent.
