Another example of Sprinkler hypocrites

Here you go all the talk about lets put sprinklers in new homes because where building them cheaper. But what about making mobile homes safer which unfortunately with all the costs of trying to buy a new home more people are opting to go to mobile homes . Once again our code geniuses have produced the exact opposite of what they want to produce.

And what will happen to the price of those mobile home if they are safer?

You are proposing the exact same thing as the sprinkler industry lobby, adding stuff to make some home safer, and of course it will make the price go higher, every thing have a cost.

So are for or against sprinkler in home? or in mobile home??

I think the new British law enacted on Jan 1st 2011 to prevent tea break injuries documented in the link below is possibly going a little too far. The new law requires all business's with 5 or more employees to enforce the use of sipping lids on tea and coffee cups to prevent scalding injuries whilst dunking biscuits (cookies) in hot beverages, apparently almost a third of working adults in the UK have suffered such an injury, in addition employers must also provide safety glasses to all their employees to prevent the 3% of workers who suffer eye injury after accidentally poking themselves in the eye with a biscuit(cookie). Airlines will also have to comply when they enter British airspace, although for some reason restaurants & cafes are currently exempt from the law.

A second part to the law regarding the banning of open hot beverage containers in households with children under the age of 14 is due to be enacted later this year, this will require the use of sipping lids on all tea & coffee mugs in such households, its unclear at the moment exactly how this law will be enforced

And there you have it.

Down the slippery slope.

The next step is to require that all drinkable liquid containers must have an unremoveable plastic nipple.

Then, after that, all drinkable liquids must be ingested under the supervision of a government trained liquidologist.

Finally, drinkable liguids will only be administered intravenously at stratigically placed liguidology stations by a government "highly trained"doctor of liquidology.

Ingesting liquids in any other way is a misdemenor punishable by fine or inprisonment or both.

Non payment of your property taxes will be reason to withhold your daily ration of liquid.

Hmm, I think I might be in favour of that idea, how realistic do you think the nipple will be?

Jim's obsessions with "nipples" and "slippery slopes" are legendary. And you're asking how realistic it will be?!? :-)

I can see sprinklers in trailers before homes. any day have put enough trailer fires out and nothing was left. and a trailer could be done cheap and easy compared to a home.
