Ademco Vista-20P problems

I recently upgraded from a Lynx (the original version) to a Vista-20P Version 3. I'm using sensors and keyfobs from the old system. I'm having a couple of problems:

- The 5804BD doesn't seem to be able to receive status. I have the housecode set appropriately, and the 5804BD reliably transmits to the panel, but doesn't get any status back. It worked fine with the Lynx.

- Zone number-based X-10 output functions don't work while the system is armed. I have a function for turning my living room light on when the front door is opened. This is handy for finding your way around in the dark to get the system disarmed. This worked fine on the Lynx, but on the 20P, it only activates when the system is disarmed. Not all that useful. Is this really how it's supposed to work? Anyone have any insight?

Thanks...

What receiver do you have?

It doesn't sound like you have the X-10 programmed correctly

5883H transceiver.

Well, that's what I'm hoping, rather than it being an oversight in the

20P's software, but the zone number-triggered functions work fine when the system is disarmed. I can't find anything in the documentation about that sort of distinction.

Make sure dip switch 6 on the receiver is ON, that should cure the 5804BD

The 5883 has a built in 5800TM

You have to have a 5800TM installed as well. the 588x wireless expansions are receivers only, not transmitters.

Is the house code properly programmed in both panel and keyfob?

Yup. Just confirmed that the house code in both is 19. I didn't know if the panel cared whether the house code was entered only for partition 1 (the only one I'm using) or all three entries, (1, 2, and common) so I tried it both ways. Still no luck.

Also borrowed another 5804BD to make sure it wasn't a problem with mine. Still no luck.
