Is there any cellular backup system that would work with an Ademco 4140XMP panel? Apparently the Ademco 7845GSM will not work with it.

Yes it will if you use the Honeywell DCID-EXT module and that assumes your 7845GSM is the latest with the mini ECP connector
You can also use the TelGuard TG-1 or TG-4, and the Uplink 2550 and

You can use the DCID-EXT dialer capture Module w/ the 7845GSM. It will allow the 4140XMP to send full contact ID.

Are there reasons to prefer the Ademco 7845GSM with the DCID-EXT adapter module over the Tellular radio TG-4?
I guess the main advantage would be Alarmnet integration?
