Will the route get flushed

Just wondering about something with regards to RIP.

If I physically unplug a cable from my router, will the router flush the routes right away, or will it wait for the timer to expire ???

Hi. Depends..... If you have the "immidiate update" ,or something like that, option enabled for RIP, it will update at once. Othervise it will wait up to 30 sec. I am assuming RIP2 protocol. (But would any sane person use RIP1 ? ).
