What is TAPI??

can somebody explain that what TAPI server do??? why we use it with meridian???

TAPI is WinBlows interface to the phone system. I think it 's an acronym for Telephony Application Programming Interface. Developers use this to write code to access the PBX for things like gui interfaces It's not really a server but a sevice.

so wats that service for??? i mean adminstrating PABX like OTM? or for some specific stuff???

I agree that is brings Windoze and Winblows to mind.

Think of a PC application that that can make and recieve calls, read Caller ID, etc - so it can do many of the things like the phone, except it can apply different "logic" based on what the phone displays or what you want to tricj it in to doing. When it detects you are calling, it plays the theme from New Jack City or maybe it answers and transfers you to a predefined number?,

TAPI is how you might decribe the method the PC does all that stuff
