External to External Call transfers

I'm working with an Option 81C and would like to setup a way so that when a select group of users make an external call, the user then has the ability to transfer that call to a third party. Any ideas on how this might be done? When we try this now, the transfer button doesn't respond after dialing the third-party.

Thanks in advance.

On the users that need to transfer the calls, add the CLS: FTTU. This is the system defaul if the Customer Data Blcok "FTOP" prompt was left at default.

On the trunk routes and trunks that they use, if both calls are sent over "COT", you will have a problem. I think if you reclass them as WAT, it will work. If one calls is over COT and the next party is DID, TIE or WAT, everything should work.

*You cannot place a call over a COT, then add on another call over COT and hang up without the callers dropping. Hopefulling someone can expand on this.

If things still do not work, another change can be considered if you keep and eye on things: On the Trunk Route Data Block(s) the users dial over, set BOTH NEDC and FEDC to ETH. This releases any disconnect controls from bridging, but there may be a risk of trunks hanging to each other. Periodically trace trunk members to see if they are tied to each other.
