I am having issues connecting to this switch.

I am using:

9600 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control. VT100

And it will just not connect. I connect the cables, turn the switch on and try to connect and nothing, hit enter a few times still nothing.

I have hyperterminal, hyperaccess..still does not work.

Any ideas?

Paul: using Hyperterminal I have my flow control set to XON/xOFF. if that does not work I would take a look at the cable you are using to connect.

Yes, I agree - you have to have the right cable - we had the same problem before we found the right cable.
