Hi,

on a Passport 1648 24T,

as I have network micro-shutdown on a Win2003 Server box, I entered on
Passport interface to see if material errors occurs.

on the switch port to which th w2k3 server is connected I can see errors
in graph port via JDM

column InErrors (interface tab) = 43
column FCSErrors (ethernet tab) = 35
column InternalMacReceiveErrors (ethernet tab)= 2977
column FrameTooLong (ethernet tab)= 8

Are these errors from the Passport port problem or from the WinServer
NIC problem ?

Thank's.

It might be NIC problem.

Ensure that the port(s) on both end are matched for forced or auto
negioation. If forced ensure that the speed and full of half are consistent.
I have seen these errors when the device settiings are inconsistent. Could
also be a bad nic on the end device.
