How can I connect my PC to my HT Receiver that is about 50 ft (if I ran wire
through the attic)?  I understand that there are some wireless Media Center
Extender devices out there, but they seem to have some shortcomings.  I just
want to throw the signal 50ft from my soundcard, but I don't know how far I
can throw a line signal without signal degradation.  I have both analog &
digital input/outputs.  I already have speakers where the computer is where
the amp is stup for 2 rooms.

Thanks in advance,
Gerry

Equipment:

Sound Audigy 2 & Yamaha AVR1500

I'd recommend digital optical and don't make any sharp bends in the cable.

I'll tell you all a little secret.

Get Belden Cat5e or better UTP and use the pairs for your digitial
audio.
Use high quality connections, keep the twist right up to your
connections, and you'll get digital and analog audio over seventy five
feet.
