Please log in for more thread options I've been lurking for quite a whice and have spent the last 3 days researching and have put together my new front-projection system. Any suggestions regarding stupid choices or recommended upgrades (or downgrades appreciated). An adequate screen for your budget. The AE900 will have no problem with the size. > DVD Player

The Oppo is a good match with the AE900. I use it with my NEC HT1100. I would order it directly from Oppo, however. Fast shipping and you will be assured that the latest firmware has already been installed. > RECEIVER

If I understand correctly any signal, be it 1080i, or 480i or p, etc., will be converted to 720P on my set. With this in mind, would it make a difference with my set if the DVDP upconverts or not? It seem it wouldn't matter. BTW, I get better results running my current DVDP (Sony DVP NS999ES) at 480i. When I set it to 480P the picture is not as good? | |||||||||||||||||||
