Horizontal line noise

Please log in for more thread options Hi, I have a JVC XV-N312S DVD player with Prog. Scan turned on, and Component video connected directly to my Hitachi plasma screen. I've just set this up, and am watching Monsters Inc. which looks great. However, periodically, I'm getting horizontal lines across the screen for a few seconds... is this an inferior cable (Radio Shack's NexxTech brand), an incorrect setting, or dirt on the disk? | ||||||||||||||||

Please log in for more thread options wouldn't be the disk... it's posibly electronic interferance. unplug the non esntial items and keep the cords sparce and see how that works, and if your still getting problems get new cables.
