Cant Get Video!!!!Please Help Bellsouth Newsgroup 12-14-05

Is there any reason why I cant get Video out of my DVD player. I'm Running
everything to my Sony Receiver with Component Cables....and going out of my
receiver with component as well........and for some reason i get audio and
no Video........I have a Panasonic 42" HDTV Plasma.....please
help...........I'm very frustrated

Hi,
Are you selecting DVD from Sony receiver?
If you suspect there is no output from DVD through component cable,
connect it directly to TV to test.

As well, make sure the video is set to video 1 or whichever the
component input is plugged into.

Also check to see if DVD player has a switch to turn off the video output.
My Pioneer has one on it so you can listen to CDs without video.
