 I have a powermate 1750 watt generator with a B/S 3 1/2 HP motor. Can
this type of unit be converted to Propane?
Any plans flooting around in syber space.

There are two big companies that specialize in propane conversion kits.
Their links are below. A quick Google will find even more. I haven't actually
had to deal with any of them myself yet, so perhaps someone will chime in with
personal preferences.

Also, there are two basic types of kits. The first drills into your
gasoline carb, usually forever ruining it for gasoline. The second adds a fuel
diffuser in the tube between your carb and your air cleaner, leaving you with a
tri-fuel generator. I see no particular reason why you would want the first
kind of kit.

I have the one from propanecarbs.com and it works great.

Sorry, but I just can't help myself here: that generator is not worth the
trouble.
The engine probably won't last long enough to make it worthwhile.
