Please log in for more thread options Brookdale i845D chipset. The motherboard only supports USB 1.0. Can I add a card to the board that would support USB 2.0? Thanks.

Please log in for more thread options Sure. And the cards are cheap, so they don't require a huge investment. This one uses a NEC chip, and is Adaptec brand. Appears to come with a driver CD, in case you have Win98SE for the OS. For Win2K or WinXP, a driver CD should not be necessary (due to you likely having service packs already installed in the OS to handle it). http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=AUA-4000C-BULK&cat=CCD http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Computer_Geeks_1 Paul

Too many times I've heard of someone with an unresolved problem or receiving DOA merchandise. It just seems funny when the same company has the same problems over and over again.

It would be funny if companies didn't try to abuse Resellersratings. Usually, when there is "ballot box stuffing", the quality of some of the text postings is a dead giveaway, so reading any postings by people, about the company, should give some clue. I've even seen "ballot box stuffing" at Newegg. Rosewill tried that. And the strangest thing was, they tried to pump the rating of a $10 USB card. Which makes no sense at all. You'd think they'd want to pump something they could make money on. I suppose you could buy the USB card locally, but around here I'd probably get reamed. Just for a chuckle, I priced a USB card at Staples.ca, and they want $59.26 CDN :-) Dream on... You could buy a whole motherboard for that much. http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=&webid=497541&affixedcode=WW Paul
