Please log in for more thread options I got a new Antec PS. But when I plug it in (with nothing connected to it) it doesn't seem to run (the fan doesn't turn and there is no dc voltage on some of the leads). Is it dead or does it require a connection to a motherboard to work??? Thanks

Please log in for more thread options Yes.... it needs to be connected to the motherboard to switch itself on. - or..... - You can simulate a motherboard connection by using a paper-clip to jump wires 13 and 14 on the Power Supply plug. - If my memory serves me correctly.... pin number 14 is the only purple wire in the bunch... and pin 13 is one of several ground wires. - ~ Guy ~

Do a Google search for ATX power supply connector. Just stick a paper clip from green wire to the black wire next to it. That will turn on PS.
