i got a new pc, core2duo 6550, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD.

i tried installing XP MCE on this but it crashed. Unfortunately I had already
set up 3 partitions on this HDD. I tried to install again onto this HDD but
it would only show me a 100GB C: partition.

I then formatted this and tried to install Vista HP x86. this one told me
that no drives (drivers) were available so I couldn't install that either.

Any idea how I can get back the other 2 partitions?

Is it a SATA HDD ?.
If so, you probably need SATA drivers, which have to be
installed first.
Read your Manual/s.
