Best Motherboard LAN Drivers

Please log in for more thread options I have an Intel D865PERLK, running Windows XP Pro, and I'm trying to find the latest LAN drivers for its gigabit controller. At Intel's site they specify version 8.0.65293 for this motherboard ... http://support.intel.com/design/motherbd/rl/rl_drive.htm But the latest version appears to be 9.2.... http://support.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-006120.htm Is there a reason they don't suggest the latest drivers for the motherboard version, am I comparing two incompatible driver sets?
