X10 Current Capabilites

Hi;

Is it possible to control some big items like a stove with X10? I am considdering putting in an Insteon system in my home. I am hoping that when I hit the All Off button by the main entryway, I can also kill current to the stove. Is this possible? Please provide any specific items that are needed if known.

Thanks and Merry Christmas Pat

I assume when you say "big items" you are talking about 220v. And yes there are a few devices out there that can control 220V with X10 such as an Elk9100.

Quick note, Pat: Someone in another of your threads wrote "Far as I can tell, Insteon is just another X-10 system," which isn't true. While Insteon products are backward-compatible with X-10, they also use their own means of communication which, in theory, offers greater reliability.
