This is a long term contract with an early April start date. The project is under way, so everything is GO. One must be a Software Engineer with solid machine control experience. We have several openings, in Long Island, another in New Jersey close to Morristown. Approximate money is $70hrW2 or $80hr 1099 or C to C. for those who meet the specs. There is NO expense money. If one wanted to go Perm, that can be arranged. The work is done on site. US Citizens and Greencard holders are welcome.

Machine Control/ Software Engineer: This position will be a critical member of an existing team, assisting with the completion of the overall design / development and life cycle of new and existing machine-control systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This role will include the following. Other duties may be assigned. =95 Quickly gain broad understanding of the overall application specifications and the existing design work =95 Support internal CIP & development tasks as part of refurbished tool sales business =95 Determine and Refine customer and in-house specifications into functional software specifications =95 Work with inter- and intra-departmental resources to develop and test solutions =95 Perform hands-on implementation and debugging on working hardware =95 Provide design solutions of key components/modules that: =95 Satisfy application functional requirements & specifications =95 Comply with defined coding, source control, archiving, and delivery paradigms =95 Reflect consideration of safety, scalability, performance, maintainability, reliability, and security REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: BS or MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering =95 5+ years experience of software design and architecture with C++, Visual Basic and C# .NET technologies in a Windows environment =95 Solid knowledge of Object Oriented programming and best-practices design =95 Able to present technical options in terms of their pros/cons and impact =95 Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written specifications / documentation =95 Able to work independently with or without direction =95 Able to travel (domestic / foreign), up to 10% (average)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Experience with writing machine-control applications for factory equipment (Semiconductor experience a plus) =95 Knowledge of basic network architecture and Windows operating systems =95 Experience in effective collaboration methods for team development, particularly across geographical distances. =95 Able to work effectively on multiple concurrent projects =95 Able to work with customers, third-party vendors, and outsourcing partners =95 Able to effectively estimate effort on projects
