OT: Coax tools

I bought one of the fancy compression crimping tools for use with the PermaSeal connectors. But it did not come with much in the way of instructions. I thought I had it figured out, but the connectors just pull right off after being compressed.

There can't be any mystery to this, so my cable must be too small? (Insert joke here)

Any advice appreciated.

These are the connectors http://200.78.227.133/catalog/products_desc.asp?fam=1&sfam=1&item=3&mv=200-032&cuenta=3&posicion=3 and the cable is RG-6 (satellite cable).

I was wondering about the insertion, but I'm using a standard coax stripper set to the defaults. Plus the ferrule compression is well above the swell point on the cable insertion.

There are specific connectors for RG-59, RG-6 and RG-6QS. Be sure to use the right one. Are you properly stripping the cable and inserting it fully?

If that's the exact connector you have, it's for Quad Shield RG-6 and you don't mention that you have anything other standard RG-6 which uses the #200-028 connector. The QS is thicker and a standard RG-6 in a #200-032 will be loose. Get the #200-028's and you'll be fine.

Be sure you're folding the shield back over the cable jacket before inserting it in the connector. That, proper stripping, and using the right connectors for the cable are the only things I can think of that would make it not seat properly.
